Play is the highest form of research.
                                                   Albert Einstein

Well, I'm Noor! I'm currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Medialogy department at Aalborg University in Copenhagen (starting as an assistant professor in September :)). I work on building better, more fun and personalized games. I'm also teaching games how to build themselves while learning from the interaction with the players. To realize my goals, I use techniques from machine learning, data mining, human-computer interaction and artificial intelligence. A graph showing the topics I mostly cover in my published papers can be found here.

I'm also an entrepreneur. I founded Lynura, a company that provides IT solutions and services. We are currently working on ArLore, the first website in Arabic that explores and explains the recent trends and applications of machine leaning and artificial intelligence. We are also developing Menura, a social mobile app to connect like-minded parents and provide a platform for them to socialize and enjoy parenting

I'm always hunting for new experiences, tools and things to learn whether for my profession or for my personal exploration.

I recently started a blog where I talk about research and other personal stuff. Check it out here!

I am currently editing a book on Procedural Content Generation with two other colleagues. Draft chapters of the book can be found at: Procedural Content Generation in Games: a textbook and an overview of current research.
